Sometimes, it’s important to grab life by the ball and hurl it at the person in front of you. Seriously, it’s as if this generation has never been hit by a red rubber ball at close range, and it shows.

Dodgeball is one of the single most greatest sports of all time. Unfortunately, it’s a dying sport because too many people get hurt. Of course, there’s a reason for that. It’s a great way to let out aggression. Everyone can turn into a bully as soon as they get a red playground ball in their hands.

Keep calm and dodge balls.

Those who claim that dodgeball is dangerous have clearly not mastered life. They are likely the same people who run away from any sign of a challenge. That’s no way to go through life.

“Remember the 5 Ds of Dodgeball: Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge.”

Those 5 Ds should be a guide to life when you really think about it. It tells you how to deal with all of life’s little obstacles and challenges.

Keep calm and dodge balls.

Education is Important, But Dodgeball is Importanter

Don’t you wish that there were dodgeballs within arm’s reach at all times in life? It could be one of the easiest ways to settle a dispute.

Your teacher gives you homework, and THWACK! You get to chuck a dodgeball at them.

Your boss comes in looking to know when they can expect the report from you, and THWACK! They get a ball thrown directly at them.

Someone cuts you off in traffic and has the audacity to flick YOU off. THWACK! A ball gets hurled in their direction.

Take care of your balls and they’ll take care of you.

It’s so much more than a stress reliever. It’s a way for you to teach people that they need to do better. Just remember: Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.

Keep in mind, you can’t actually walk around with dodgeballs on you to heave at someone. That’s called assault, and you could end up behind bars for it. However, no one will ever catch you if you simply imagine that the balls are headed for the faces of your enemies. That’s between you and your mind.

Teaching people a few lessons with imaginary balls is even more importanter than a proper education.

We Go Balls to the Wall

“Nobody makes me bleed my own blood. Nobody!” – Ben Stiller

There’s a reason why there’s a fight or flight reflex in all of us. It’s what helps us to fight when it’s necessary. And in some instances, if we know we can’t fight what’s coming at us, we get the hell out of dodge.

If you don’t want life to bleed you of your own blood, you have to decide how you’re going to handle a ball flying at you. Catch it and go balls to the wall on those around you or dodge so that it doesn’t hit you.

Really, the dodgeball is a metaphor for many of the obstacles in life. It can be everything from deadlines at work to health scares to relationships. If you’re not willing to deal with it, it’s only going to catch you off guard when you least expect it. Since you can’t dodge everything, you might as well deal with it on your terms. At least, then, you maintain at least some control over everything.

Sports do not build character. They reveal it.

When you’re in Kansas, you have the ability to go balls to the wall with every aspect of life. It means that you can pour your heart and soul into it. By doing this, you can be sure that you make the most out of every opportunity. You can live a life without regrets. And you can say that you did your best, even if everything doesn’t turn out the way you hoped.

It’s kind of like the way we operate Sherman Pole Buildings. We didn’t want to create just any pole barn. We went balls to the wall to create the ultimate quality erections. It’s why they’re durable, rugged, and fully customizable.

Our pole barns are so well constructed that they can hold up against all the elements, including snow, wind, hail, and even a hundred dodgeballs launched at its walls.

I Like Big Balls and I Cannot Lie

If you read that and the following verse came to mind, “You other brothas can’t deny…” we can absolutely be friends. Throughout Sherman Country, we still believe in playing dodgeball. We are firm believers that sports do not build character. They reveal it.

That means you have to think about this: If you see a large red ball speeding toward your head, do you cry about it, or do you try to catch it so you can return it with even greater intensity?

If it’s the former, you might want to consider rubbing a bit of dirt in your wounds.

If it’s the latter, you have developed enough determination and grit to make it through life.

We’re proud of our ability to play with big balls. We love a good game of dodgeball, and we’re not afraid of a few welts left behind, either. We play hard, regardless of the game.

If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.

That’s why we feel that everyone should have a pole barn on their property. When you play hard, you have toys that are designed to help you. This could be a collection of balls, fishing gear, hunting equipment, or various all-terrain vehicles. Whatever you have, you need a place to store them. Your garage is likely full with your everyday vehicles and some random overflow from your home.

As such, pole barns provide you with that added storage.

If you are afraid of failure, you don’t deserve to be successful.

Of course, there’s no reason to use a pole building specifically as storage. We can customize the steel buildings to meet all of your needs, whether it’s to be used as an ag building, a barn, a residential home, or anything else.

Since we’re used to getting pelted by balls, we know a thing or two about strength. It’s why you can count on a Sherman Pole building to be the toughest building around.
