The world is full of craziness. We can look around and see the sensical and the nonsensical of it all. However, most of it doesn’t really affect us. We may say that it does, but we’d be lying. Why? We live in our own little worlds.

Welcome to my world. Things may be a bit chaotic, but that’s the way that I like it.

“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.” – Alice in Wonderland

A phrase that has resonated with me for most of my life: Wander often, wonder always. I love to wander so that I can see more of the world. And you know, I haven’t been everywhere, but it is on my list. And wondering helps to keep me sane as I sit in Sherman Country, looking out over the acres of land in my backyard.

Discovering the World, One Idiot at a Time

The problem with the world is that intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

We’ve all been there. As we wander through the world and wonder what it all means, we have to deal with all of the people that we meet on a daily basis.

Anyone with any level of intelligence will stop to ask questions. They doubt whether they’re doing a good job or whether they can really make a difference.

Working in a mirror factory is something I can totally see myself doing.

Meanwhile, the bumbling idiots of the world are confident that they are doing a good job and making a difference. And they never stop to look behind them at the wakes of destruction that they have caused.

The stupid ones may furrow our brows more than we’d like, but they do help to add color to the world around us. They give us something to laugh at and ensure that we have plenty of anecdotes to share with our loved ones once we get home.

No matter where on earth I go, I’m still in my own little world. It is created based on how I view situations and interact with people. It may not be Kansas, but it’s okay. I stay within my comfort zone and everyone in my world knows me, even if that may only be me, myself, and I during some travels.

Imaginary World

Stride Through Life with Confidence

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.

Our world is always changing. There’s nothing that we can do about it, no matter how hard we hold onto the “good old days.” The only way to go through life without constantly facing disappointment is by accepting that there will be change and deciding that it can be positive.

The more confident that I am, the easier it is to stay positive. Even those little mantras can be helpful from time to time.

Try this: Stand in front of the mirror, puff out your chest a little bit, and say out loud, “I am capable of accomplishing anything I set my mind to.”

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

It works, even though you may feel a bit foolish doing it. Perhaps you should close the door so that your family doesn’t see you doing it. I’ve been caught and still haven’t lived it down.

As long as you can go through your own world confidently, that’s all that matters.

Wherever you go, go with all your heart.

Be the person you want to be instead of always wondering and wishing that you could be someone else. When you’ve got confidence and your whole heart in the game, it will be easier to stay positive and enjoy your world.

My World

My World Got a Little Brighter with a Pole Barn

There’s something bold and beautiful about Sherman Country. There are countless opportunities to spend time outdoors, and Kansas has so many things to do when you know about the best places to go. From hiking to fly fishing, there’s always a reason to spend time under the sun in The Sunflower State.

We have found that pole barns make a big difference when brightening everyone’s worlds. And no, we’re not just saying that because we have over 40 years of expertly crafting them. A steel building is an important part of any world regardless of whether you use it as a residential home, an agricultural building, or even as a commercial facility.

My world is brighter and more beautiful because of you. Thank you.

How can you possibly go through life without shelter? You have to create a space that is truly yours. If for no other reason, you need a place where you can be one with the many personalities that take up residence in your mind.

A pole barn helps to bring it all together.

For me, it’s a place where I can store all of my toys. This includes my fishing gear, my ATVs, and everything else I need to be able to thoroughly explore and become one with the nature around me. And, with the layout of the barn, it also gives me a place where I can spend time with my friends and family. Though, sometimes it’s a place where I hide from those same people.

It’s My Pole Barn

Hey, it’s my barn and I’ll do with it what I want. Remember, I said this was my world. In your world, you can do what you want. We’re simply recommending that you add a pole barn to your world so that you’ll love it a bit more.

At Sherman, we’re here to make everyone’s world a bit brighter. Our pole barns are built to withstand all of the elements. We’ve been rapidly expanding to include Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas, and Kansas. Post-frame and stud-frame barns are possible depending on the ground as well as any other details we may need to work around.

When you’re ready to add a structure to your world or help to organize the chaos a bit, we’re here to talk to you. We’ll go over all the custom designs that you can take advantage of and more with us here at Sherman Buildings.
