Sing These Songs of Freedom

Aye, the pirates knew what it was like to be free. They cared not about the politics of the land or the demands of the government. They paved their own way. They made their own rules. They lived their lives in the freest way possible. Scurvy was the only worry they had.

I’m not saying I want to take to the high seas and be a pirate. But, follow me as I share my hopes and dreams with you for a moment.

We are told what we can say, what we can do, and where we can go. It has become clear that freedom is the most contagious virus known to man. Oh, what it would feel like to be free. It is difficult to even imagine what true freedom feels like.

If you are truly free, you have the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. Can you tell people anything, even if they don’t want to hear it? I cannot. Thus, I am not as free as I would like to be. Speaking openly and honestly is freeing, but the consequences are damning, for sure.

Experience Freedom

Freedom is Never Given, It Is Won

I’m not much of a fighter, but I know when to make a fist. When there’s freedom on the line, I’ll fight. I’m aware that it’s never handed over. It is something that is won. The entire reason there is a Minnesota and a Texas and an entire United States of America is because of fighting and winning our freedom.

There are other ways to gauge if you are free. I have the freedom to spend my weekends the way I want. This, too, was not given. I won it by working hard and choosing a job where Saturdays and Sundays were my own. I have the freedom to buy what I want and eat what I want, too. Again, it was not given. It was won by living on my own. Of course, I have to cook. I may also have to battle with the significant other on which restaurant to dine in, but even then, I have the freedom to choose whatever I want from the menu.

It is all worth fighting for. The pirates figured that out long ago. Now that I am free, I’m not about to let it all go to waste.

Help Me Sing

Go Where Your Dreams Take You

Truth is the first casualty of war. What is your truth? This may take some time. You must be open with yourself. I must say that when I was honest with myself, it was an eye-opening experience when I realized who I was and who I wanted to become. My dream was  to be someone who was free of worry. I wanted to be someone who could stand proudly in front of a mirror and be happy with the reflection.

Being free I can speak my truth, too. I know that I can speak my mind and let others in on my most intimate thoughts. Of course, I must also prepare for those who view the world differently. While I could get upset with those who have different thoughts, I am fond of a good argument. And, having an argument in Texas, well, that is a sport in and of itself.

Arguments are healthy. They’re goal-oriented, and they make it easier to see a situation from both sides.

I’ve argued with myself, and I’ve argued with those around me. These arguments have led me to understand more truths about myself. I now know how to succeed in turning my dreams into a reality.

Chasing dreams can be dangerous if they are not your dreams. If you have liberty and pursue happiness only to land where you don’t actually want to be, you cannot be happy.

Life Is Good

Establish Your Truth

I want to be happy. I have fought for my liberty and I want to pursue happiness that will allow me to achieve just that. As such, I needed to establish my truth. Not the truth of those who think they can impose their truths on me. Not the truth of those who are the loudest within my life. My truth.

With truth in my heart and liberty in my life, I can chase my dreams and be happy. I can travel. I can embrace friendships. I can live the best version of my life.

Be Free

Take Your Dreams into a Pole Barn

The only real prison is fear, and the only real freedom is freedom from fear. So, you must release your fears. Be the person you wish to be.

If you wish to be a pirate, then it is time for you to say goodbye to the laws of the land. Sell your home in Minnesota, find a suitable eye patch, and take to the seas.

If you wish to be a happier version of yourself, you must learn that liberty is worth paying for. It’s all part of the path to pursue happiness.

A pole barn can serve as your pirate ship. It’s your place in Texas or anywhere else that allows you to have your freedoms and watch your dreams take shape. Turn it into a home, a storage shed, a small business, a restaurant, or anything else. Let your dreams dictate what it should be.

At Sherman Pole Buildings, we take the building of a pole barn seriously. Like you, we believe that it is critical to be free. We sing our songs of freedom. We have the freedom to be as creative as we like, which ensures that you get the barn of your choosing.

Alive to Freedom

You Are Free To Choose

Size, floor plans, features…there are so many decisions that you can make. We provide the quality craftsmanship that you can depend on. Steel construction, too, delivers freedom. You are free to enjoy the barn without worrying about the elements. Whenever you can free yourself of stress, it is for the better.

All you have to do is close your eyes and dream. Find your truth and allow your mind to wander. The dreams that you have about how you want to spend your life and how you want to enjoy your downtime can be realized. With our help, we’ll ensure that you have a quality pole barn on the property of your choosing. You can have your life, your liberty, and you can pursue happiness. That, dear friend, is the freedom you can have as you have fought hard to earn it. And, when you’re ready to discuss a pole barn, we are here to help you every step of the way.

“Redemption Song”

Bob Marley & The Wailers Lyrics

Old pirates, yes, they rob I
Sold I to the merchant ships
Minutes after they took I
From the bottomless pit
But my hand was made strong
By the hand of the Almighty
We forward in this generation
Triumphantly
Won’t you help to sing
These songs of freedom?
‘Cause all I ever have
Redemption songs
Redemption songs
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds
Have no fear for atomic energy
‘Cause none of them can stop the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look? Ooh!
Some say it’s just a part of it
We’ve got to fulfill the book
Won’t you help to sing
These songs of freedom?
‘Cause all I ever have
Redemption songs
Redemption songs
Redemption songs
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our mind
Wo! Have no fear for atomic energy
‘Cause none of them-a can-a stop-a the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look?
Yes, some say it’s just a part of it
We’ve got to fulfill the book
Won’t you help to sing
These songs of freedom?
‘Cause all I ever had
Redemption songs
All I ever had
Redemption songs
These songs of freedom
Songs of freedom
