Supposedly, there are 26 letters in the alphabet for the English language. Every time I go through them, I can only come up with 25. I don’t know why! They say the first four letters of the alphabet are the hardest. The rest are E-Z.
Is there a word that uses all of the vowels including y? Unquestionably.
Here at Sherman, quality is important, and we are attention-oriented. Some may even say that we follow instructions to the letter. As such, the alphabet is something we are very familiar with, even if we do like to have a bit of fun with it on occasion.
I Have an Alphabet Grenade
An alphabet grenade is a serious problem. And if it goes off, it could spell disaster.
The true disaster, though, is the new alphabet song that kids are being taught in school. The old-school song that we sang is no longer being taught because it created too much confusion. And no, this is not a joke.
As you sing the song, the tempo is completely off. You get to L, M, N, and then there’s a weird pause. Then O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, and another pause.
LMNOP is gone!
Apparently, an entire generation of kids were confused and thought that elemenohpee was a letter. The ending is ruined, too. They took out the word “and” between Y and Z because that was too confusing as well.
I told my computer I needed to work on my spelling, it told me to watch my language.
This is a travesty. Honestly, I’m surprised that more people aren’t up in arms about the disappearance of LMNOP. That was the most exciting part of the song. And if kids are getting confused and thinking that it’s one letter, well, that’s on parents and educators alike to tell kids that they are all separate letters. We should use the confusion as a learning experience, not ditch the song entirely.
In case you haven’t figured it out, I do not approve of this new alphabet song.
If there are any other issues you have about the alphabet or the English language, feel free to share them. We’ll get all upset about them on your behalf. Who knows, it could end up being the subject of one of our next blog posts.
Luckily, our kids never got confused by elemenohpee being a letter. They have, however, gotten confused by the lyrics of “Born in the USA.” You see, we get so excited by what we do around here at Sherman that we sing it as “Barn in the USA.” It’s a real humdinger, but we won’t sing it for you, even if you ask nicely. None of us are capable of carrying a tune. We’re only good at carrying steel. It’s a good thing we’re in the barn-making business instead of the music-making business!
If You Are Looking for Alphabet Jokes…
Of course, I have alphabet jokes. Though, the joke is on U.
What’s the smartest insect? A spelling bee.
What is a pirate’s favorite letter? Ha! You probably thought you knew this one. The answer is none. Historians suggest that most pirates would have been illiterate.
Alphabet jokes may be a bit on the lame side, but at least we know our ABCs enough to be able to get the punchline. So, that means that we’re doing something right.
A book just fell on my head…I only have my shelf to blame.
With it being soup season in Sherman Country, do you know what soup the alphabet likes best? P-Soup!
That reminds me, if you are running out of room in your home and suddenly find that your kitchen is too small, it can be difficult to find the space to do proper recipe prep. If you want to make a giant pot of pea soup (or any other soup, really), it may be time to think about building something on your property.
A pole barn can be used as a man cave or a she shed. It can even be used as a barndo, creating a new kitchen for all of your holiday cooking and baking needs.
What’s the difference between a cat and a comma? One has claws at the end of its paws, and the other is a pause at the end of a clause!
Of course, you don’t need to have an entirely new home built on your property. A garage may do the trick. You can have more storage, and that would help to eliminate all of the clutter in your kitchen. Then, you’d have no excuse not to make a delicious soup that will warm the souls of everyone in your household.
We like soup, too. And since we gave you the great idea, we believe we may be entitled to a bowl when you come down to talk to us about your pole barn needs. Anyone barn in the USA loves soup, and we’re not picky.
I Ate Five Cans of Alphabet Soup
Five cans of alphabet soup in one sitting. I just had the biggest vowel movement ever.
Sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves with that one. It turns out the jokes weren’t over just yet.
We’re about to get a bit more serious, though…
I Hate Making Spelling Mistakes…
You mix up two letters, and your whole post is urined.
English is a hard language to learn. After all, you have rules like this to remember:
I before E, except after C …and when sounding like A, as in “neighbor” and “weigh.”
The good news is that at Sherman, we are Barn in the USA. We understand that spelling mistakes happen. We won’t judge you if you contact us about a garage and there are a few typos in your email. Of course, we ask that you not judge us, either. We are bound to have a few typos here and there.
“That’s What.” – she
We are better builders than we are spellers. Our quality craftsmanship has been put to the test for over 40 years across Sherman Country. It’s why we’re known for our quality erections, and no, there are no typos in that statement. One look at our expertly made buildings, and you’ll know why we say what we say.
There are times when I’m so bad at spelling that even autocorrect is like, “I can’t work with this.” But hey, we don’t have to text to communicate. Give us a call, and let’s talk about how we can customize a garage or a barn for your needs!
